If anyone has a question about the livestock animals I have listed above please feel free to ask me. I have knowledge in these animals.

I work for a vet office and I answer a lot of questions people call about and I answer them. Of course there are some questions I can’t answer but I can always ask the Dr. I work for and get an answer.

Cold Weather Pet Care

Winter is fast approaching. If pets are housed outside make sure they have a place to get out of the elements and dry bedding.

Water is a necessity in any weather so be sure pets have fresh water at all times.

It may be a good idea to have an area designated in the house, such as a basement to bring pets in if the weather is dangerously cold.

Pets with light pigment are more prone to Frostbite, especially on the ears.

Have a nice winter and keep pets happy and warm!

Pet Care While You are Away

Some animals do not do well when left alone. This could be for a couple of minutes to a couple of hours. They may show anxiety when left alone by destroying things in the home they normally wouldn’t bother if someone was with them.

Some ideas to make your pet feel like someone is with them while you are away is to make the home feel like someone is there.

Keep a TV or radio on so the house is not dead silent.

Have a neighbor stop in every couple of hours if possible.

If your pet does not do well with any of the suggestions, you may have to use a crate while you are away so that your house is not being destroyed. You may also call your veterinarian and ask about medications that may help with anxiety as well.
